Live Action Integrated COFDM Transmitter / Camera System
The Nucomm Live-Action Point-of-View Transmitter (Dropcam) is a small rugge -dized COFDM (DVB-T compliant) transmitter with interchangeable camera adapter modules. This convenient package makes it an ideal camera transmitter to capture Point-of-View video for sporting events, reality television, hidden camera ap-plications, and many other scenarios. The Dropcam has been uniquely designed featuring a removable sensor module. An assortment of sensor modules may be fitted depending on the desired use.
The Dropcam is fully HD capable when a companion HD Sensor Module is used. A variety of HD sensor modules are available including Remote SD/HD Camera Sen-sor Module Quad Video Matrix Sensor Module. When using an HD camera wider field of views are achievable without sacrificing resolution when digitally zooming into a region of interest. The Dropcam comes standard with a HD-SDI input module that includes a 5V out -put to power external accessories. The Dropcam may be optionally fitted with an internal edge video recorder feature. This feature records the audio and video onto an internal memory for off line analysis. The recorded video may be downloaded over a USB connection to any computer.
The Dropcam offers exceptional RF performance and durability, combined with true ease of operation and superb H.264 high profile encoding. The Dropcam uses COFDM digital RF Transmission enabling superior non-line-of-sight performance in buildings, culverts and urban environments. This level of performance is unattain-able with conventional analog or 802.11(Wi-Fi) products. The Dropcam integrated battery will power the transmitter for over 3 hours, and can be recharged using the AC adaptor provided in the kit. Security of transmis -sion is ensured through the use of the AES 128/ 256 BCRYPT1 & 2 encryption. The Dropcam is designed for ease of operation, and allows operators to select between 16 preset channels by pressing a single button. Presets are configured using the USB control interface and PC software provided.
