Briefcase-Style Diversity COFDM HD/SD Receiver
The IMT Briefcase Receiver (BCRX) is a ruggedized COFDM (DVB-T compliant) diversity briefcase receiver/monitor. The BCRX is integrated into a ruggedized portable IP66 rated briefcase and offers exceptional RF performance and durability, combined with true ease of operation and superb H.264 high profile and MPEG 2 decoding. The unit displays COFDM video transmissions using an integrated 10.1 inch 16:9 format screen using a bright, daylight viewable high resolution LCD screen. The BCRX HD/SD features AES 128/256 Bcrypt decryption capabilities that make it ideal for applications ranging from public security monitoring to covert surveillance.
The IMT Briefcase Receiver features integrated non-removable internal storage with 500GB SSD capacity. Field replaceable battery packs allow for a minimum four-hour run time between charges. It may also be plugged into a vehicle power or 120/240VAC power. You may close the case and leave, while at the same time receive and record for up to 24 hours. The BCRX features a magnetic switch that will turn off all unnecessary functions when the case is close to enable a longer run time then the normal 4 runs that the batteries provide. The user may also stream the video through the Ethernet connector. All of these features provide unequaled value in a high quality COFDM receiver/monitor.
There are two LCDs integrated into the BCRX, a 10.1” screen for viewing the received video and a 5” touch LCD for receiver control. Both displays have brightness controls allowing night-time or day-light viewing and may be user configured. Upon boot up the BCRX displays are defaulted to an “off” mode. The touch user interface is intuitive to use, featuring standard icons and buttons for the control of receiver and telemetry parameters. An information status summary is displayed on the control LCD. Parameters displayed include preset, frequency and channel selection, signal strength, demodulator lock, decryption active, decoding indicators and battery statistics. The LCD user interface also displays the transmitter battery status and telemetry control confirmations.
The BCRX requires minimal setup to operate. For advanced functions such as changing frequency plans, AES decryption keys, or unit naming, an easy to use administration software package with up to 32 presets is supplied. The presets can store as little or as much information as the administrator wishes. These values can then be locked in place, providing simple and reliable operation. Access control ensures that users will not inadvertently corrupt mission-critical settings.
