Rack and Pack

When testing STL and similar systems, IMT fully assembles, wires and tests the equipment in relay racks as they would be arranged at the customer's facilities. Unless specified by the customer, the system is disassembled, boxed and shipped in individual boxes to the customer's facility. At the customer's facilities, the equipment must be unboxed and reassembled, then tested.

When systems are disassembled at the factory and reassembled at the customer's facilities, many times errors are made or small pieces are inadvertently left out. Many times items such as isolators, filters or cables are installed backwards; correcting these problems results in costly delays of days or even weeks.

Shipping STL and similar systems fully assembled and pre-wired saves both IMT and customer time and manpower. When the equipment arrives at the customer's facility, it is placed in position. The power, waveguide, input and output signals are connected and the system is on the air in a very sort time.

IMT recommends that customers take advantage of having the equipment shipped pre-assembled, wired and tested in the original relay racks. There is no additional charge for this service. 19 Open Frame Relay Racks are available in either 6 or 7 ft. height configuration.

Standard crating is for domestic shipment within the U.S.
