RF Extreme Ramps Up Its Integration Services and Turnkey Solutions for Government and Broadcast

With BAS Relocation Winding Down, Division Finds New Direction

RF Extreme, a business unit within the Vitec Group's Videocom Division and a leading digital microwave technology provider, has been awarded significant contracts providing integration services and turnkey solutions for first responder, military and government vehicles, microwave trucks, and receive sites. These contracts are with various government and law enforcement agencies and military installations. RF Extreme continues to be involved in upgrading broadcast services, as well.

In light of the broadcast BAS relocation project nearing completion, RF Extreme is enhancing its field integration service group by offering turnkey services for installation, field system integration and operational instruction of RF and communication infrastructures serving these new market sectors. This comes at a critical time as both government entities and the broadcast industry are challenged with smaller engineering resources, and a need for mission critical, integration, upgrade and technical maintenance functions.

"As the BAS relocation project comes to an end, we are excited to be putting additional resources towards our integration services for the law enforcement and government segments," says RF Extreme President Stephen Shpock. "Public safety continues to be a top priority with state and local governments today. As those agencies look to upgrade and overhaul their analog microwave systems, RF Extreme is committed to providing cost-effective, user-friendly solutions that are designed with the public's well being in mind."

With seven fully stocked Mobile Integration Field Units stationed across the U.S. to support critical response, RF Extreme offers a full range of product offerings that includes manufacturing, marketing, custom integration and on-site training. In addition, RF Extreme offers a depth of equipment and services from the RF Central, Nucomm and Microwave Service Company brands.

RF Extreme is also very active in the AWS relocation (Auction 66) project which involves government entities moving their microwave systems out of the 1710-1755 MHz band. "Similar to BAS, we are actively working with government customers on their AWS relocation," adds Shpock. "With our experience in microwave integration and installation, our team of experts is ready to provide solutions to law enforcement, government, military and broadcasting projects of any size and budget."
