IMT and Vislink Soared at the HAI HELI-EXPO 2017
IMT and Vislink presented a wide array of products and solutions at the recent HAI HELI-EXPO 2017, the world’s largest trade show devoted to the international helicopter community. The event, which took place March 6th through 9th in Dallas, Texas, was the first joint appearance of the two companies since Vislink’s acquisition by xG Technology. Among the products on display were the Airborne Video Downlink System (AVDS), including the Mini MobilCMDR, CIRAS-x6, CRx6 and DR3 IP Diversity Receiver, as well as Vislink’s V-Link auto-tracking antenna array.
HELI-EXPO was an excellent venue for IMT and Vislink to showcase its expanded product offerings and product synergy to the airborne law enforcement market for the first time together. With the formation of this new partnership, both companies can now offer a wider set of solutions than previously available to the law enforcement, public safety and defense sectors. The feedback received at the show was overwhelmingly positive; customers and industry professionals were excited about IMT and Vislink joining forces and being able to take advantage of the engineering expertise from the combined companies.
At the expo, attendees were particularly interested in the Central Integrated Radome System x6 (CIRAS-x6). The CIRAS-x6 is a ruggedized COFDM (DVB-T compliant) six-way diversity receiver integrated into a six-segment antenna pod. Ideal for external use, it offers exceptional RF performance and IP-56-rated environmental durability. The CIRAS-x6 system is also designed to automatically optimize the receive signal at all times and virtually eliminate all human intervention.
Visitors were also paying attention to the IMT Mini MobilCMDR HD/SD. This is a small ruggedized COFDM (DVB-T compliant) diversity handheld receiver/monitor that offers exceptional RF performance and durability, combined with true ease of operation and superb H.264 and MPEG-2 decoding. The Mini MobilCMDR features AES Bcrypt decryption capabilities that make it ideal for applications ranging from public security monitoring to covert surveillance.
Staying ahead of the technology curve is critical to law enforcement, public safety and homeland security organizations around the world for achieving mission success. A key part of IMT and Vislink’s mission is to deliver enhanced situational awareness using the AVDS and other advanced communications solutions for video, audio and data. Events like HELI-EXPO are ideal opportunities to present solutions directly to users while gaining a deeper understanding of their requirements in a face-to-face setting.
